Mod Med Health was founded and created by Dr. Tyler Handcock and Dan Veranth.  As partners in life since 2003 they sought a way to build their own business in a space they were passionate about. Being avid fitness enthusiasts they realized that not every one has the time and means to commit to daily exercise and healthy eating habits.

With the introduction of GLP-1 medications they realized there was a great opportunity to help friends, family, and clients lead a healthier lifestyle.  Due to limitations created by the health insurance industry much of the population that desires to utilize these medications did not qualify and paying out of pocket for the name brand medications was ridiculously expensive.  Because of this, a new pipeline for these medications became available by utilizing compounding pharmacies to create identical medications with out the high price tag.

The availability of GLP-1 medications through compounding pharmacies has created dozens of new medical weight loss options.  A simple internet search will provide dozens of online companies.  But, after reviewing, one will discover that many of these online weight loss programs feature hidden costs, minimum purchase requirements, and in some cases minimal or no medical support. That is how the first business segment of Mod Med Health was formed.  We feature upfront pricing, monthly programs, and an actual Austin-based medical doctor with over 20 years of experience.  Our goal is to make access to GLP-1 options easy and hassle free.
